It was a blisteringly hot day, and I was standing out in the Sun overseeing our workers planting Sugarcane, when I noticed that I had suddenly been covered in shade. I looked up to see a little cloud, and could clearly make out the “God Rays” it was giving off. It was beautiful, I had to snap a photo. “It looks like a gate to Heaven.” I said to myself. “Heaven’s Gate, that’s what I’ll call it…”
Got some fresh Durian from one of our trees today. This fruit is like wine, an acquired taste. If one can brave it’s pungent odor and taste it, they’ll find that the fruit is sweet with milky flesh.
Guavas. Most people love ’em. I do for sure. They’re everywhere here. They go really well sliced with soy sauce, or just plain salt. But we seldom get to see their fruiting cycle, or their trees. hahaha
Here’s a glimpse of what I used to do in Cebu. The hustle and bustle of the city life has taken it’s toll on me. One of the reasons why I returned to Bukidnon.
Gonna be dumping photos here. This’ll be sort of like a visual journal. Full of things i see and do here. A little about me. The name’s Ru. Born in Malaybalay, Bukidnon to a family of Farmer Businessmen. Spent a few of my younger years living in Chicago before moving back to the Philippines. Graduated from Filmschool in 2011. Spent the last 2 years as a Radio Dj for oomph Radio and an Artist at Viva. Through all that time. I never took an interest in Farming or Business. All that’s changed now. I’m back, and I’m a Farmer. hahahaha From the Mountains to the City, and Back again. But that’s a tale for another time. There won’t be many long posts like this one. Most of what you’ll find here are photos of my adventures and experiences, along with brief explanations and random tidbits i happen to think of. Enjoy..
BTW. This Shot was taken while we were on the summit of Mt. Dulang Dulang, second tallest mountain in the Philippines. Part of our 3 day journey across a small part of the Kitanglad Mountain Range.
